Our Top 5 Favorite Frostings!

People often have inconsequential opinions about foods. Frosting is one of those foods, we have found out. To add some fuel to the fire, we decided to make a list of our top 5 favorite frostings. We will be rating these based on taste, texture, and how fun they are to make!


5. WHIPPED CREAM FROSTING:

Whipped cream is perfect for anyone who wants a beautiful cake and enjoys a sweet and light topping. What places it at number five, however, is how easy it is for the frosting to collapse or melt. Whipped cream frosting should be kept refrigerated until it’s ready to be eaten.


4. CHOCOLATE FUDGE:

We love some delicious fudge! This Frosting is rich, decadent, and heavy. While it's perfect for a firmer cake and it’s easy to pipe and shape, it’s also perfect for putting a smile on anyone’s face!


3. BUTTERCREAM

What else is there to say? Buttercream is a classic. It’s not a strong flavor, easy to pipe, and it keeps its shape very easily. It's a classic choice that works for nearly any cake flavor.


2. GANACHE

If you are looking for a lighter, chocolate fudge-like frosting with a beautiful shine to it, maybe think about going with ganache. Ganache is so easy to make, and the look it gives as it spreads over the cake is to die for!



1. CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

This is a fan favorite! Just as easy to make as buttercream, but with a very particular tang. While it’s very specific to what it is traditionally put on (carrot cake, spice cake, red velvet, etc) , oftentimes this frosting is the star of the show and these treats hold special memories in many holiday treats.
